An image inspired by Marilyn Monroe in the consideration of blonde role models, this Risograph has been based off of an original linocut reduction print which can also be found in my shop.
Developed with 3 layers of colour including blue, fluorescent red and neon yellow
Risograph printing is a Japanese form of printing similar to screen printing, but using a digital printer. Prints are developed layering a singular colour at a time. This means that each print is somewhat unique, as the registration shifts with each print in the machine, resulting in little quirks from shifting alignment.
Risograph prints are made using oil based inks and never completely cure (a bit like newspaper ink). They should be handled & framed carefully, to avoid smudges. They are not lightfast.
